The information we collect and how we use it
We collect information directly from you when you provide it to us, automatically as you navigate through the website, and from third party service providers when used to process donations. Our primary goals in collecting this information is the thank you for your support and to share information about our work.
Here are some examples of how we collect and use your information:
We collect the information you give us when you make a donation or sign up to receive email updates. That information includes personally identifiable information, such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, and whatever additional information you choose to provide. We use that information solely to process your donation and/or request to receive updates, and we may share it with third party service providers we work with to perform those functions on our behalf.
We also collect information you provide to third-party services, such as PayPal, when making a donation to us, such as your name, billing address, and e-mail address. The information passed on to us is only used to complete your donation and to provide you with updates.
We may automatically collect and store information about your use of our website, such as your search activity, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We also may collect and store information that your computer or mobile device provides to us in connection with your use of our website, such as your browser type and version, type of computer or mobile device, computer connection, IP address, and the like. Such information is collected through tracking technologies that may include cookies, web beacons, mobile advertising identifiers, and statistical identifiers. We use this information primarily to inform our efforts to provide an enhanced experience on the website. We may also share this information with trusted third-party partners to help us analyze visitor interactions with our site or to deliver interest-based advertising about our programs.
